What To View A Local Legend In Loch Ness

Up in the Highlands of Scotland visitors flock each year to the beauty and the magic which surrounds the area. Flights from around the UK or Europe can land at two of the airports in the north known as Aberdeen and Inverness. Just a short drive south will lead you to the Loch which everyone loves talking about and that is Loch Ness.

Lakes are called lochs in Scotland and the best known one world wide is Loch Ness, famous for its monster theory . Anyone driving along the shore line of Nessie will appreciate the underlining beauty of the area with scenery like this no where else on earth.

Driving your rental car along the loch will normally take just a little over 1 hour this is of course with out stopping for photos in which case you will be a little longer. Why would you not stop and take photos of this once in a life time route of sheer beauty. Stooping off at Drummadrochit is around half way down the loch and is a perfect spot to stop over for lunch.

There are several advantage points along the shore which you will be able to view not one but two castles Inverness and Urquhart. No matter what part of the road you stop and take pictures you will be able to enjoy panoramic views of this stunning lake.

Mystery surrounds the monster who so called lives at the bottom of the lake. Be prepared to have your camera ready just in case you can spot the one and only Nessie who may surface on your holiday. There has only early being a few snaps of him taken a long time ago with several expeditions taking place to try and capture him on sonar with no luck. Many locals have tails and theories to tell any visitor wishing to listen. Who knows you could be the next Monster expert photographer.

The final stop of the loch is a place called Fort Augustus which is busy with the day cruises along the shores of the Loch packed with visitors all waiting to catch a glimpse of Nessie.
