Business Tips When Travelling

By Poppy Hill

Travelling for business would include packing for your meetings. Most business travellers will require at least one roll on case which is useful to lift onto the plane with you for safety and security reasons. This will rule out the possibility of any bags being lost or stolen while travelling to your destination. No baggage reclaim forms to complete at an airport which is a very big plus. Invest in the purchase of two cases one of them being a spare in case the other breaks.

Keep both suitcases packed with the same products and items allowing you more time at home and not running around trying to stock up one missing items. Take advantage of any sale or deals which may be going on while you are weekly shopping . When you arrive at your hotel there maybe toiletries already placed in your room which you use or take with you for your next trip.

People often think about men only travelling but what about the women business people. They too can take advantage and pack a few extra items which will brighten up any dull business suit. Think about adding in a scarf or a favourite piece of jewellery.

When traveling business class most people think of planes as their mode of transport completely forgetting about the taking the train to their meeting point if the journey time is less than say 300 miles. The train may be quicker for this journey and it means you can also work for the time uninterrupted whereby you will be unable to use your business phone or laptops when you are in the air.

Consider the time it takes to travel to and from a terminal building plus check in times and security breaches all incur lines and patience. Compare various modes of transport before deciding on air travel.

Hotels which offer business travellers the niche of high speed internet and office equipment are often best to stay in as they will cater for your business needs as opposed to a small family run hotel which might not be up to your expectations. There are always review sites or other business travellers which can help you out when trying a new city.

The best advise we can give is to try and arrange phone coverage on arrival into your new destination. There is nothing worse than arriving and finding your network does not cover this area. The hunt would be on for a new phone to work.
