By William Cox

Religion is a good thing. It instills a sense of purpose in people. It is good to live a purposeful life in the present day world. There are three major religions. They are Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Christianity is the largest religion in the world. It is made up of two major denominations. They are Catholicism and Protestantism. There is also the Seventh Day Adventist. This was started in the United States of America. Presently, there are a number of churches that observe the Sabbath Winnipeg. Canada is a Christian nation. That is the truth. It is the reality.

Church teachings are holy. Therefore, they must not be taken lightly. They need to be followed to the letter. Church teachings are obtained from the Holy Bible. This is the holiest book on earth. There is simply no book on earth which can be compared to Scripture. Actually, it is the most translated book in the world.

The Holy Bible is the holiest book which has ever been written. It was written by inspired men and women over a period of thousands of years. The Bible does not contradict itself. It is the behavior of people which contradicts the teachings of Scripture. Humans need to change their ways and conform to the various teachings of Scripture.

The main teaching of any Bible believing church is the teaching of morality. If one is a believer, moral living should not be the exception. It needs to be the order of the day. Sin is a very bad thing. Sin is responsible for all the pain and suffering in the world. Christians need to avoid sin by all means possible.

Sin is a reproach to every generation. However, righteousness exalts a nation. A sinful society will eventually be destroyed. Righteousness will bring peace and prosperity to a nation. Being a sinner is not the end of the world. Every sinner in the world can be able to find forgiveness for every sin he has ever committed.

Seeking for forgiveness is not the end of the road. One will also need to be baptized. One has to choose the church where he will be baptized in. The date of the baptism will be organized by the pastor. In most cases, baptism usually takes place in a river or a lake. The water needs to be blessed by the pastor.

After baptism, a believer should live a life which is worthy of the baptism. He should follow the thin and narrow path which leads to life. He also needs to endure in prayer. One of the most vital church teachings is the power of prayer. As a matter of fact, prayer has the power to open doors which have been closed.

Scripture has a lot to say about the Sabbath. One of the Ten Commandments instructs believers to keep the Sabbath holy. Sabbath observing Christians have the opportunity to work from Sunday to Friday. Saturday is the only day of the week when they are urged to put their work aside and go to church. A Christian who regularly attends church will be blessed.
