The Episcopal Church In Lake Norman NC Is Based On The Bible

By Sandra Schmidt

Millions of lives all over the world have been positively transformed by the powerful messages of Christianity. That is the plain truth. It is the ultimate reality. The religion of Christianity has existed for thousands of years. It is the world's most populous and popular religion. Presently, there are billions of Christians all over the world making it the most followed religion in the world. In the United States alone, there are millions of Christian believers. Some of them belong to the Episcopal Church in Lake Norman NC. The doors of the Episcopal Church are always opened to all and sundry.

The Episcopal Church is Bible based. That is the truth. It is the reality. A true Episcopalian believes in the Bible a hundred percent. He does not have any doubts about Scripture. He knows that heaven and earth will pass away but no single word of Scripture will pass without being fulfilled fully. The Scripture is holy and inspired.

As an Episcopalian, it is important to read the Bible every day. One should not read for the purpose of merely reading. He should read to understand. That will require a good deal of time and effort. Bible study in groups will also come in handy. This will foster a high level of understanding through the various group contributions.

Scripture has many books that were written by different holy men and women over a period of millenniums. These books can be divided into the Old Testament and the New Testament. Each of these testaments is important in the life of a believer. The beginning of it all is the book of Genesis. It all ends with Revelation.

Of all the Biblical books, there is no book that is least understood as the book of Revelation. Believers usually dedicate a lot effort and time to understanding this book but they end up failing. Before reading Scripture, one should pray so that his mind might be opened to understand what Scripture has to say. The Episcopal Church has Revelation experts.

The New Testament requires believers to be baptized. That is exactly what happens in the Episcopal Church. Before a person can become a member of this congregation, he first has to be baptized using water. The baptism process will take place in a river or a lake. The water will first have to be blessed before the whole affair can happen.

Without baptism, the repentance of sin, and righteous living, one will not be able to see eternal life. Instead, eternal death will be the order of the day. One needs to find forgiveness for sins. The good news is that forgiveness is offered free of charge through the process of baptism. Actually, this is the age of grace.

Being a Christian is the best decision that a person can make. Every day, many people usually convert to Christianity. No one is forced to be a Christian as is the case with the other religions out there. The whole affair has to be a personal decision. One also has to personally decide on the church that he will join.
