Lessons Learnt From Studying At A Pentecostal Bible College

By Betty Carter

When it comes to religion it s either people get offended easily or are heavily religious and will not waiver from their faith no matter what. The term Pentecostal comes from a book in the New Testament in the book of Acts. The most defining characteristic of members of this domination is characterised by their devote study at Pentecostal Bible College.

Baptism is an important hallmark of the Christian faith and can happen in one of two ways. The first and most prominent of these methods is through the water. Water is not just a means to physically nourish the body but also replenish one s spiritual being and aid it in bringing about an untainted spirit that has been born afresh.

But belief doesn t come in different levels and assortments as there is only one and only one kind of belief. And when one does truly believe they are blessed by the presence of the Holy Spirit which is able to endow those worthy among men the spiritual gifts such as the ability to speak in tongues and the gift of being able to the prophet.

Salvation is a trait that is held highly by scholars of the bible of Pentecostal Christian believers. This is especially true as it is believed that salvation is the key to living a sin free life, a life that closely resembles that which was present back in the day of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

All of which cannot happen without a fundamental shift in the mindset of how a person things, an intense desire to change both mentally and spiritually in order to welcome the changes that may lie ahead. This successful change in attitude allows for one to truly be open and unhindered at understanding the sacrifices of Jesus Christ and the nature of creation.

The teachings of tithing and offering are best examined through the financial integrity a person has with regard to this particular request. The command that a person shall not steal nor shall that person covet what others own. By giving 10% of all they have to the church they put themselves in a place to be showered with blessings when the time is right and provide the necessary base for others to serve the church.

At the end of it all, the study of the bible is fruitless if one does not treat themselves as a Christian nor behave like one. In a world full of temptation a proper Pentecostal must desire to live by the standards that they read about in the bible and the teachings they have learnt from in church.

The denomination of Christianity is not as complicated as assumption would like people to believe. Principles such as salvation, baptism and the belief in one God are what ground this faith and it s followers in its belief. Discipline, love and a need to live as a true Christian in all circumstances are what matters.
