For many years, the media has been attacking top televangelists such as: Benny Hinn, Joyce Meyers, Joel Osteen, T.D. Jakes and many others. They have been attacked because of their material value for the most part. The media try to say that these evangelists and pastors bring in millions of dollars a year and live in luxurious homes. However, is it ever a sin to live this way if the poor and starving all around us? Are pastors supposed to be held on a higher level as a representation of how to live.
I consider the Lord to be my friend and my spiritual connector in this life. I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior. It's never easy to admit to lacking in spiritual growth. Sometimes you just have to with the flow and learn more about yourself and about life in general. Friends of mine have always told me to ask God what he wants you to when I have trouble thinking about what I want to do for the rest of my life, I ask God, "What is your will?" God always seems to have a wonderful way of expressing to me what I need. I am the type of person that enjoys working for myself. I like to see people happy and expressive. I have been through many struggles over the years when it comes to understanding myself. When I was a kid, I wanted to become a priest or a pastor. As I got older, I found fulfillment in giving psychic readings. The two are very complex. However, you can enter your spiritual calling when you walk day by day and step by step with God. Only He can guide you along your life's path.
I asked him, "Do you feel guilty about anything? Is anything on your conscience that you have to get off your chest?" He said, "Yes!" I said, "okay, then tell me what is in your heart." He said that he had been a mean man all his life. He would often say insulting things to people to get his way. He was very stubborn and into himself mainly. He also believed in the philosophy of putting yourself first and others last. This is the total opposite of what Jesus Christ taught us. Jesus taught us to always put others first and then yourself. This man had lived a very selfish life and had hurt a lot of people. He started to cry.
I want to call this man John. John said to me, "How can I change? When will I be a better man? Is God punishing me?" I had to meditate on this. I often get asked a lot of questions by people because I am a prophetic ministry. I said to the man, "Please tell me that you feel ashamed and guilty for what you have done." He said, "I do. I feel so ashamed and embarrassed at all the pain that I have caused people. I am now 50 and heading towards the later part of my life." He said, "I am so sorry for what I have done." I said to him, "Go and apologize to as many people as you possibly can. Tell them how sorry you are until you feel like the guilt is gone from your mind. If it is there, it will always be a part of you." He agreed that he would do everything in his power to release this inner pain and to confess his wrongs that he did against others.
His board chooses to pay him a salary that he is comfortable with. It's obvious that he cares about people or he wouldn't be getting up in front of millions of people each week preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. He is passionate about what he does, and he deserves to get paid. He should not be forced to live like a poor person because he is a pastor. He is meant to live a life that God has called him to.
