The Jesus Coming Back Is Presided By These Prophesies

By Edna Booker

Previous Christian generations have all thought that Jesus will come back during their lifetime. However, He never came back since not all the bible prophesies on his coming had been fulfilled. Christians now feel that His return is imminent. Here are prophesies in the bible that had to be fulfilled before Jesus coming back.

In Matthew 24:22, Jesus says that those days of trouble will be shortened to save the living things from all being wiped off. The verse shows that if Christ does not step in, the human population will be annihilated. In the last 50 years, the world has grown its capacity for self-annihilation. Major world powers have stockpiles of nuclear arsenal and some have hydrogen bombs. There is also fear that this arsenal may fall into wrong hands especially the terrorists fighting for control in Middle East.

The Jews have also been re-established in their new home. The bible talks of sprouting of a bud in Luke 21:7 to signify the new nation. Many empires have fought for Jerusalem but finally the Jews went back to their original home and established a state in 1948. Zechariah 12:2-3 predicted that this new nation will be unassailable even if attached by the whole world.

Daniel chapter 2 and 7 talk of the empires that will rule the earth before the coming of kingdom of God. Of interest is the Roman Empire, which was the last and crumbled to present day Europe. The bible predicts the unification of ten member states that will try to rebuild back to Roman Empire.

The European nations joined hands and are moving towards a unified state. They have a monetary union, a parliament and everything else is coming into place. While other attempts to unite them were by use of force, this is a voluntary union preparing the way for the coming of Christ. The holy bible is not clear which nations will form the final union, but it states that they will be ten.

Jesus also said that He will not come back before the Gospel has spread through all the corners of the earth as recorded in Mathew 24:14. While there has been restrictions to spread of gospel in many communist and Islamic countries, Technology has turned tables. Through TV, internet and radio more people have been reached the gospel.

There have been higher frequencies of famines, earthquakes and pestilence in the last century than there have been since the middle ages. Mathew 27:7-9 predicts that in the final days, all these will happen and that it will be the beginning of sorrows.

In addition, He talks people forsaking God and being wicked. Today, the level of immorality, murders, loss of love and individualism has grown into extents never known before. Marriages are not lasting, abortions are on increase, and the world looks more lawless as predicted in Luke 9:23. Be well prepared.
