If Education Is Important To You Then Boynton Beach Is A Great Place To Start

By Jony Mozen

People always want a good school for their kids when moving to a new town. Boynton Beach offers hotels along the coast where one can rent rooms for the duration of their stay in this beautiful city in Florida. The beaches are only about 4 miles away and the shops and restaurants are all within walking distance. They are situated between two state of the art health care facilities and are only about 15 miles from the airport.

The Oceanfront Park Beach is considered to be one of the most popular beaches and is within walking distance of downtown. There are many restaurants where one can stop for something to eat and drink and for those that need to keep busy there are jet skis, paddle boarding and boat charters. The boardwalks are spacious and for those that are in wheelchairs, it is very accommodating as well.

In the middle of the 1990s the park boardwalk was redone out of recycled plastic and it was again changed in the early 2000s doing away with the plastic and replacing that with Ipe wood. This specific wood comes from the Brazilian rainforests and is considered to be extremely hard. Because it is such a hard wood one needs to pre-drill it before any of the pieces can be connected to each other.

Many say that it is as hard as steel and can last for more than 25 years outdoors. It is resistant to mold, fire, pests and weather and the surface will take a lot of beating before it becomes scratched and scuffed. In some instances this wood will be used together with Teak and Shorea for outdoor furniture.

The history of this beautiful city started when a former American Civil War major saw the area and fell in love with its natural beauty. There was sunshine all year round and the beaches were untouched. He then went on to build the Boynton Hotel where he and his family spent many winters. It was discovered by the settlers that accompanied Boynton that many different fruits and vegetables thrived in this climate. Mangoes, citrus fruits, tomatoes and pineapples where then packed and shipped across the country. This brought in more revenues that helped to sustain the beginnings of the town.

One thing that should be visited is the Flamingo gardens which stretch for over 60 acres. These Botanical Gardens have well over 3000 different kinds of rare, exotic, subtropical and tropical plants. Their Arboretum houses some of the biggest trees in the state of Florida.

They are all non-profit organizations and depend on donations to survive. Giving a little to them will ensure that these animals and plants will be looked after and protected for many years to come. To fully enjoy the day one will be able to have a narrated tour by tram so those that donate will be able to see what they will be helping to preserve.

The place has been voted the best family beach by the The Palm Beach post. Every year these beaches see more and more people flocking to swim and watch the surf. The seas are relatively calm and are scattered with palm trees that provide shade for many.
