The Wedding Menu That Works Best With Each Season

Your wedding day is the one day it is all about you and the one you love. So making it extra special is a must. The wedding menu should correspond to the theme if you have one of your blessed day or pertain to foods that the two of you love the most. Hiring a caterer as most couple's do will be a great asset as they can help guide you along the way for an exquisite menu everyone will enjoy.

Spring weddings are truly beautiful and usually filled with fresh blooming flowers of the season. Menus chosen for spring should be light and refreshing. Appetizers can include a cool baby spinach salad with fresh vegetables or scallops seared with a light sauce. Your entree can be a nice salmon, tuna or Mackerel when the event takes place in Boston Ma., which is know for its succulent fresh seafood. The menu should be warm and inviting to take the chill off.

Cocktails like hot buttered rum and hot cocoa with a little extra kick added in with marshmallow or peppermint vodka are great accompaniments to the meal. A soup with vegetables and a hearty beef served with a rye or wheat bread are perfect for starting the reception. Your entree can be a nice ham with brown sugar and honey glazing, this will get everyone in the holiday spirit.

For the bride and groom cake a nice spiced caramel with a frosting of butter-cream or a dark velvety chocolate orange delight frosted and filled with dark chocolate and decorated with orange flakes and flowers. Just remember that whatever theme or season you choose the menu should be reflected with foods which match them and your wedding will day will be a dream come true.
