The world today is filled with so many different religious leaders who claim to preach the true word of God. Prophetic pastor opportunities have come up with so many people claiming they are true prophets. This has brought with it so much confusion, with people not knowing who to believe and who not to believe. Seeing them around in churches and in the streets preaching using the bible which most people believe to contain the true word of God leaves you even more confused.
Pastors are people who attend bible colleges to get to know and understand the bible, the true meanings of the Gods words so that they can be able to feed the followers with the true word of God. People worldwide believe in God as a supreme being whose commandments/rules are all in the bible so the pastors are there to help us understand and follow the commandments and live in accordance with the word of the God.
The pastors are taught to translate the bible which is like a guideline from God on how to live our lives in a good way according to how God wants us to live. They learn how to live pure and righteous lives and to guide the people of God on what to do and how to go about the teachings of the bible. They have prophecies on what is to happen to those who do not follow the teachings and how the end times will be.
People believe that pastors are a medium between them and God. They communicate with God on their behalf. But pastors of today do all this and more but not without money. One has to pay for everything for any services from a pastor be it prayers, counseling etc. This is not the same as it was before because people only used to go to church, give your tithe and offerings and you are good to go.
They make their followers and believers pay for anything from them that could otherwise be done free of charge. The only things people used to give were tithe and offerings which also help in well being and the life of the pastors and their families but the pastors of today, people not only pay the tithes and offering but pay also to be prayed for. They even put a price tag on the offerings and tithe. This cannot be true pastors.
Even though there is the false prophets, some of whom you can never know, all churches need to have pastors who can guide their followers. People need to be firm believers so as not to be brainwashed by the false prophets.
The false prophets are usually afraid of the true and staunch believers because they know they can never fall for their untrue teachings. Standing firm and not changing churches every so often can help one grow spiritually because mostly if you keep on changing churches, you get confused because some teachings are different in different churches.
All in all we all should stand firm in our faith and pray hard to our God to show us how to deal with this many prophets who have appeared in the world today. We should also pray for the spirit of discerning to differentiate true from fake prophets.
