Stir-Frying: 3 Reasons Why It Goes With Italian Olive Oil

By Jennifer Marie Anderson

It's important to understand that certain cooking oils seem to work better than others. For this reason alone, I believe that it is more than worth noting the importance of Italian olive oil and I am sure that others will be able to say the same. This type of oil has a tremendous amount of monounsaturated - or "good" - fat to consider, after all. It's because of this reason that I do not think this oil would be too out of place when it comes to the culinary method known as stir-frying.

Stir-frying is a cooking method that includes both vegetables and meat alike, both of these products being stirred while over high temperatures. Companies along the lines of Unaprol know that certain oils are best for the culinary arts. Italian olive oil is perhaps one of the best choices to consider but what are the reasons for this? If you are in the mood to read up on stir-frying, you should be able to learn more by picking up on these 3 particular perks.

"Vegetable-based" is perhaps the best term that can be used in order to describe stir-fry dishes. With this comes the presence of various vitamins and a number of nutrients that might have been lost otherwise. Let's say that you are someone who wants to add more onions to their stir-frying efforts; these veggies have been known to lessen the risk of certain types of cancer. To say the least, vegetables are heavily responsible for the health benefits of stir-frying.

You have control over the proteins that you incorporate. The best stir-fry dishes are those that, in some form or another, have meat and it's best to go with the leanest types for the purpose of health. For example, if you are looking to reduce the amount of saturated fat on your end, fish or skinless chicken may be the better alternatives to look to. Not only are they rich in protein but you will not take in nearly as much fat when you don't have to.

What if you are looking to increase your carbohydrate intake in the long run? Stir-frying is great for this purpose and it all comes down to one product, in particular: rice. Brown rice is especially useful for this reason, seeing as how it contains whole grains for better health. Even so, rice is a great product for the purposes of carbohydrates and you can be certain that they will be able to boost your diet, allowing the benefits of stir-frying to be magnified that much more.
