The town was established after its most famous Redondo Hotel was built. It is a preferred resort destination and one of the most desirable areas to live in the country.

People from all walks of life visited the place for all sorts of recreation and sea sporting events. The pier is a good place to shop, dine, stroll and provides an anchor to sport fishing fleets. Redondo Beach seafood is no doubt the best tourist attraction in town. It captivates tourists, along with other seaside restaurants lining up the marina.

Before the downturn in the economy, affected the place, the business district used to boost the fishing and canning industry of the city. Fish made products used to be transported in the pier until the year ninety seventy when it went downhill. The Marina is now home to nearly a dozen diners. And Korean restaurants are lining up the harbor and marina complexes.

Some of their most popular food on the menu are the calamari and crab cake, the tastiest sea dish you have ever tried. There are also exotic dish like the Eureka Sanddabs that you might want to try.
