Many well known restaurants are opting to go a new route, mobile food truck manufacturers. This is a kind of advertising for them. Driving around town with their logos on the side of their vehicles one can't help but not be noticed.

Any well know eating place has had many years to perfect their general outlook that the public has learnt to see and love. Their quality and quantity of food is what can make it a success or not. Having a moving canteen will help to increase customers who find the distance too far to travel or are unable to, still able to enjoy their food.

With both the recession and the technology and of course people's fascination with food this has grown to big proportions. It is cheaper to pick up a quick bite than it is to have a sit down meal in a restaurant. These street vehicles are seen around just about every corner. They all offer a variety of foods to choose from.

Building a fleet and been able to disperse them over a large area, will give the business an even larger advantage. Travelling to different locations and serving a variety of menus can make a huge difference in revenue. Office workers and school goers will have different tastes. Catering for different needs will need to be worked out.

Before you start with anything, research will be needed. There will always be challenges and one needs to take a critical look into the industry. Try speaking to other owners and listen to what their pros and cons are. They can give you ideas on how to design your truck or van for your specific needs. Get to know who your target market is and what foods are preferred at any given time.

Parking and stopping restrictions must be adhered to at all times. Where one decides to stop and sell, there will need to be a clean and working bathroom. Not only will warm water be needed but so will hot. Warm water will be fine to wash hands, but regulations say that in order to wash utensils etc, hot water is a must. In most instances a "bathroom letter" may need to be obtained. This all needs to be within 200ft of where you are.

In order to operate anywhere for over an hour you need to have access to a bathroom within 200ft of travelling distance of where you will be doing business. The bathroom needs to have warm running water and dispensing soap and must be clean and in working order. There is a difference between warm water for washing hands, and hot water for washing utensils. This is where the bathroom letter comes in. If one is obtained a distance of 300ft is allowed.

There are certain regulations that will need to be adhered to. All posted parking restriction on stopping and loading must be followed. When dispensing foods, one can only do so from the side walk of the street and not from the street side. Litter receptacles must be clearly marked so that the patrons will make use of them. Taking the laws into consideration the operating margins of mobile food truck manufacturers can be very lucrative and worthwhile.
