While the Bible predicts the coming of a world leader that will deceive the nations and is known as the antichrist, the muslims have their own interpretation of this evil figure. The muslim antichrist is known as the Masih ad Dajjal or simply known as the Dajjal. He is the false messiah who is said to deliver the world from evil but will actually plunge the world into darkness.
Now according to the Muslim doctrine, the Dajjal was first prophesied by the great and most respected prophet in Islam known as Muhammad. Now he gives a detailed description of what this individual looks like. According to him, while he was sleeping, he saw a burly man who had a right eye that was blind. This man was supposed to be the deceiver of all nations known as the false messiah.
According to Muhammad, this man will claim that he is a god but Muhammad also says that this cannot be Allah because Allah has two eyes and does not have only one eye. So if a man with one eye appears and says he is a god, do not believe in him. He will be the one who will bring suffering to all of the Muslims in the entire world.
It is also stated in the prophecies of Muhammad that this man will come from the central part of Asia that is known as Khorasan. Now this place includes countries in the middle east such as Turkey, Iran, and even Afghanistan. The prophecies also state that this man has to power to perform miracles and will say that he is a prophet from the highest god.
From there, he will declare that he actually is god himself and will save the earth from all the evils that it has. He will liberate the earth, reward those who would follow him, and punish those that do not obey him. He is said to control all of the food of the earth and also has the ability to manipulate the weather.
With this power in his hands, he will be able to bring famine and natural calamities to those who do not follow him. The Muslims will have to go through these trials and wait for the real messiah to come down to earth and destroy this blasphemous man. However, this man is a man of influence and will even convert many Muslims to his side.
He will kill Muslims and bring them back to life in order to convince the people that he is in fact the real deal. However, Muhammad specifically told his people that if this man does a resurrection, then it is already sure that he is the Dajjal that every Muslim should watch out for. Now when he tries to kill the same man a second time around, he will not be able to anymore.
The muslim antichrist who is the Dajjal is said to die in the hands of the Mahdi or the messiah. Isa, who is also known as Jesus, will join the Mahdi in prayers and will eventually do battle against the Dajjal. Eventually, Isa will catch him and kill him.
