Ensure the appropriate protective clothes are worn. These will protect the individual from any form of injuries from the flying feathers or staining of clothes. Then, put down the bottom board that has been cut to fit the required measurements. At the edges, make parallel a carpet and secure it with staples on which the fan motor is secured.

Get another smooth board cut to required size, and have four perforations on which the engine will be secured on. This piece of wood and the first are put together and the motor placed on its place. The smoothness of the wood must be a priority.

Design another piece of wood, six by seven inches in size. Cut it at forty five degrees on the edges. Attach this to the second piece of wood. Opposite to the motor, mount the electrical box. Thereafter, wire firmly the motor, cord and switch together.

The equipment is now ready to insert the fingers. This is done from the inside towards the outside. The holes in which the fingers are put in are made close together, that is if the cap is small. They are put far apart if it is big. This is done all round and all the way to the top. Make sure that they are tightly fixed so that they do not come off during the process of plucking of the chicken.

Locate the center of the cap, be very accurate. On that spot, create a hole that will provide a balanced support for the cap so that it will be able to rotate well. Using a welding machine, attach the rod on one side of the fan motor. Then mount the collar on the motor. Tightly fasten the cap on the edge of the rod with nuts.

Many people have made this a source of their livelihood as these machines are on demand. They have mastered the skill of how to make a chicken plucker and made it an economic activity. However, the art is easy to learn from those who are conversant with the procedures.
